I’m so pissed off I can’t even type. Yesterday’s hail storm fucked up my cars, my garden, my roses and my kid’s toys. The pictures speak for themselves.

This was taken when I got home, 3 hours after the storm.

I’ve seen hail before, but not the size of ice cubes.

It’s great when you get those first couple of cars tuned. It really pumps you up for the season. Ken’s v-dub is no exception. Following in Lanny’s lead we have an A4 Golf converted from street duty to full drag.
When I say following Lanny’s lead, I literally mean it. The turbo setup used to be on Lanny’s car - good ‘ole T66. It’s interesting to see how quick this turbo comes to life. We were seeing boost build from 3500rpm, not bad at all on a turbo that was considered “big” back in the day.
While waiting for the shop to clear out for our dyno session, we came across this: the iltis. I forget buddy’s name but he had a hell of a time trying to start it. Have I said CARBS ARE FUCKEN ASS, yet?
Anyway, back to Ken’s wood. Dyno session went okay with a few stumbling blocks. His supercharged base map was tuned only for TPS which is complete ass. So I had to re-map it to use MAP as load. The next problem was boost control…. there was none. A quarter turn on the manual valve resulted in 9 to 21 psi. With a valve that sensitive, we opted to run the lines without the valve and settle for 12psi.
We finished off the session without smoking the stock motor. That’s always good in my books. Next stop - the track!

It took about half an hour to start this car. Carbs are ass.

Nothing like a good bumfuck to start the day! Ken likes to smile when he’s horny.

My fucking eyes are still burning from last night’s session. I don’t know anyone else that’s crazy enough to work through a full day and then after go dyno 4 cars into wee hours of the night.
I didn’t take too many pics as I was busy sorting out this stupid ass wideband controller that kicked our asses for most of the night.
Joee stepped up to the plate for a quick check on the dyno to see if his new clutch made any difference and it didn’t. He lost power in fact… hahaha. So it turns out that the VTAK wasn’t hooked up and he’s been pwning ppl on low cam this whole time. Way to go bro! Once we sorted that out, power was back up and we turned up the boost 1psi. Joee’s a happy camper now officially joining the “over 300whp club” on a stock motor.
I think DP was so happy he wanted to shit himself. He came close as the highlight of the night was DP flexing his BUM so hard he RIPPED HIS FUCKING SHORTS. BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG ROFLMAO!!!!!!1111one.

A supercharged 350Z made some nice noises and decent power, joining the “over 300whp club”.
Ryan’s louder than fucking hell EK ended the night off. 3″ exhaust on a K20a2 is pretty much like taking a knife to your eardrum and stabbing it in and out at 8000rpm. It was so fucking loud we had to close the bay door because we were afraid the cops were gonna raid the place.
Another early morning and another 10 coffees to keep me awake. I dunno what drives me, I think I just like making power. It’s something you can never have enough of.
