What is it with us that we need to find that absolute cheapest price? I mean, for some things it makes sense but your car? WTF? I’ve come across a lot of things in this industry but nothing peeves me more than seeing a bunch of crap thrown onto a car expecting to see some magical things happen on the dyno.
I understand we are not all made of money, but c’mon guys… eGHEY as your choice of high performance parts? I suppose eGHEY isn’t bad if you know what you’re buying. I remember when I was fresh on the scene, drooling over a REV HARD or DRAG kit back in the day. The starting price for those was around 3-4G’s. Take a quick peek at eGHEY and search for a similar turbo kit. You’ll find a complete kit for about 699. Tempting isn’t it?
Long story short, what happens is you buy this POS turbo kit and find out that nothing is bolt-on. More like fab-on because as you go through the install, you end up making so many changes that you would have been better off making the kit from scratch.
Guys, save your money… buy the right stuff. If you don’t know what to buy, visit a reputable shop and ask them. Remember, they’ve been through this before and know what works and what doesn’t. They did the leg work for you, so you don’t have to waste your money. Isn’t that worth a couple of pennies more than the “cheapest price”?
